Vancouver, Gerbaldi, and a Smart

I flew out to Vancouver Saturday morning. My plans for the weekend were weak at best, but it turned out to be great. Beth and Mark showed me their new apartment right on False Creek. If I had been on the ball I would have taken a picture of the views from their place. Needless to say they were absolutely breath taking. Sunday I rented a Smart and drove up to Squamish with a good friend of mine to hike up to Gerbaldi Lake. I had done this hike a few years back with Bruce. It was just like I remembered it. Worth the hours of switchbacks, sweat, and paining legs. The pictures say it all. What a spectacular hike.

KGS Dragon boat

Spent the weekend competing at the River City Dragon boat festival. Definately a good way to get to know your coworkers. 52 teams competed, we finished in 4th place.
