ISTP - Introverted Sensing Thinking Percieving

In my continuing struggle to figure out what's bugging me.....I've resorted to professional councelling. K pointed me in this direction, and so I managed to get hooked up with a Phsychologist at the U of M. Michael is an interesting guy, very resourcefull and hard working. I think he's going to help me make a good decision about my career moves, and maybe that will help. In going through this councelling process I did a few "personality" type assessments. One of them was the Myers Briggs test, which places you into one of 16 personality types.......with some room for interpretation, and the strong skills inventory. I've met with him a few times over the past month, and in the last sitting we went over the Myers Briggs test. This test identified me as an ISTP. At a first glance I looked at the results and thought......God I have NO personality, since I was only slightly one thing over another. On a sliding scale of 0-30, my highest score was 6........so I was really non-committal. Michael assures me that it's not a lack of personality.....he suggested I have a very COMPLEX personality. Anyways. It's a neat way of understanding how your brain works, and why you might make the decisions you do. It helps explain some of my decisions, my inherent resistance to change, my trouble with "dating", etc.
I've added a link to one of the many sites that give you insight into what makes these different personality types tick. ISTP on the right and up a bit------>

So if you've ever had problems with me, maybe this helps.

I hope to use it to guide me, and make some positive changes. My blog started out with a theme......having the courage to change. I hope I can execute on that.

ps. I'm renting out my house in the spring......perhaps you know someone who needs a place to stay. I've also added a link to my rental listing.
